Get to Know the Harvest Difference
What does it mean to work with an Investment Advisor under The Fiduciary Standard?
The same way a law firm must accept fiduciary duty when representing clients, as a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) Harvest Investment Services accepts fiduciary duty when managing clients’ assets.
As an Independent Registered Investment Advisory firm RIA we are held to a higher standard by law. A traditional broker only has to demonstrate that their recommendations are “Suitable” at the time of sale. This is known as “The Suitability Standard”. As a independent RIA we at Harvest embrace “The Fiduciary Standard” which means that as a fiduciary we must demonstrate that our recommendations are in your best interest. The vast majority of investment salespeople are not fiduciaries and therefore are not representing that they are always working in your best interest.
According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: “As an investment adviser, you are a “fiduciary” to your advisory clients. This means that you have a fundamental obligation to act in the best interests of your clients and to provide investment advice in your clients’ best interests.”
Comprehensive Financial Planning and Wealth Management
We handle all of your comprehensive Financial Planning, Investment Management, Risk Tolerance, and your Estate Planning all right here at Harvest Investment Services. We also serve as the quarterback for your entire trusted advisor team by helping to coordinate your entire comprehensive plan with your CPA, Attorney and any other trusted advisors on your team.
Most individuals are entrusting their wealth to firms that have conflicts of interest, for example:
Publicly owned investment firms, broker dealers and insurance companies are legally obligated to place their shareholders’ best interests before their clients’ best interests.
As a privately owned Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), Harvest Investment Services is legally obligated to place your best interests before any other party or entity when we manage your investments.
We use Independent Custodians
Harvest Investment Services does not function as a custodian over your assets. To build in safeguards and a firewall by using one or more of the top world-class independent custodians such as TD Ameritrade to custody your investment accounts. This provides you with constant checks and balances and a secure environment designed to detect and prevent investor fraud and identity theft.
